How to register a study
A simple, standards-aligned process for registering human studies and systematic reviews. Registration should be completed before recruitment or data screening whenever possible.

Create an account
Create a user account using your institutional or professional email address. You will be able to manage multiple registrations under one account.

Start a new registration
Select the appropriate study type (interventional, observational, registry, or systematic review) and complete the guided registration form.

Complete required fields
Study title and objectives
Study design and methodology
Population, interventions, and outcomes
Ethics approval status (if applicable)

Submit and receive a registration number
Once submitted, your record is validated and assigned a unique registration number (for example: TCR-2026-00123). This number is permanent and should be used in all related outputs.
How to cite your registration
Include the registration number in your manuscript abstract or methods section.
This study was registered in The Clinical Register (TCR-2026-00123).
For systematic reviews, cite the registration as:
Protocol registered at The Clinical Register (TCR-2026-00456).
Amendments and updates
Any changes after registration must be submitted as an amendment. Each amendment creates a new version while preserving the original record for transparency.
